Our client is one of the UK’s leading security specialists and they are on the lookout for a Service Engineer to join their team!
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Location: Field Based (Ideally Dartford due to serving clients primarily across Kent, Essex, and London) – Must be a driver – Company Van & Fuel Card will be provided

The Role:
Our client is looking for a skilled Service Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and conducting installations of various security systems, including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and physical barriers. Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair a wide range of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms. Ensure all systems function optimally to provide top-tier security.
- Dayworks Installations: Carry out dayworks installations for new or upgraded security systems, delivering high-quality workmanship and meeting client specifications.
- Client Support: Provide on-site technical support, addressing client concerns and offering guidance on system operation.
- Documentation: Keep detailed and accurate records of service activities, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation reports.
- RAMS Compliance: Prepare and follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all tasks, ensuring full health and safety compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the service desk team to coordinate site visits and manage resources efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to maintain high service standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control and intruder alarms.
- Must have a full clean driving licence.
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing security equipment, with a focus on reducing system downtime.
- Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to clients.
- Strong time management.
- Experience with gates, barriers, and turnstiles is desirable.
