Position: Contact Centre Agent x 6
Location: Wallington
Salary: £24,145, plus fantastic benefits (free parking, pension, cycle to work scheme, employee discount scheme, Life Insurance x2 annual salary and a Birthday card and cake on your special day!)
Shift Pattern: Four days on, followed by four days off – Shifts across a 24/7 hour operation (Monday to Sunday)
Role responsibilities:
The purpose of the Contact Centre Agent is to ensure that information is passed from the public to the relevant agency accurately and securely, without any reference to the caller’s identity.
📞 Record information from the public via telephone or other relevant mediums.
❓ Question sources to ensure the best information is received.
🖥️ Input qualified information onto the database, ensuring compliance with data protection and disclosure requirements.
🚨 In case of time-critical information or threats to life, contact Police Control Rooms/Major Incident Rooms for an appropriate response.
Your working week:
🕒 Shifts ranging from 10 to 12 hours, with appropriate breaks.
07:00 – 19:00 (12 hr shifts, 1.25-hour break, 10.75 hours paid)
10:00 – 22:00 (12 hr shifts, 1.25-hour break, 10.75 hours paid)
14:00 – 00:00 (10 hr shifts, 1-hour break, 9 hours paid)
21:00 – 07:00 (10 hr shifts, 1-hour break, 9 hours paid)
📚 First two weeks involve comprehensive training. 1st week = 09:00 – 15:00, 2nd week = 08:00-16:00.
Who our client is looking for:
📞 Previous experience in a call centre or customer-focused environments.
🤝 Ability to deal with emotionally challenging queries.
🔄 Understanding or experience with unsociable shift patterns.
🗣️ Excellent communication skills to ensure accurate information transfer.

Provisional Start Date: Monday 10th February 2025 (You must be available to start on this date and without pre-booked holidays in the first 6 weeks)
Applicants ideally will have a current DBS issued within the last 12 months, if you do not have a current DBS, you are still welcome to apply. However, if successful, our client will complete a new DBS check. You will also need to present evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
