We’re on the lookout for a passionate Activities Coordinator to join our client, an esteemed Nursing Home in Caterham. If you’re ready to infuse joy into the lives of residents and be the driving force behind their vibrant community, this is the role for you!
Job Title: Activities Coordinator
Location: Caterham, Surrey
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Days: 5 days per week (Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday plus Saturday OR Sunday)
occasional weekends)
Hours: Flexible – 9.30 to 5pm/10am to 5pm/9.30 to 4pm
What You’ll Be Doing: (but not limited to)
- Getting to know residents on a personal level and design custom-tailored activity plans that cater to their interests and needs.
- Let your creativity shine as you plan and execute a diverse range of events and outings, from arts and crafts workshops to exciting day trips.
- Collaborate closely with the Manager to orchestrate entertaining social events and dynamic marketing functions that showcase the heart and soul of our home.
- Keep things running smoothly by maintaining meticulous records, managing equipment inventories, and seizing opportunities for positive press coverage.
- Play a pivotal role in fundraising initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
What Our Client Is Looking For:
- Previous experience in a care environment is a must, but what’s essential is your passion for organising activities and events that bring people together.
- A warm and empathetic personality paired with top-notch communication skills – you’re a natural at making everyone feel welcome and valued.
- The resilience to tackle challenges head-on and the dedication to go above and beyond to create meaningful moments.
- The client will complete a full DBS check (due to the nature of the industry its expected!) and a valid driver’s license with own transport is a must (due to location)
